Gravity Discovery Centre, Gingin
http://www.gdc.asn.au/

The Gravity Discovery Centre is an educational facility that engages students’ minds and creates excitement and interest in Science through hands-on involvement in experiments. We are linked closely to AIGO and now the Zadko telescope, both operating, “Real Live” research stations. As a result we have a constant influx of new information and data as well as scientists, some of whom are available for presentations to students. The GDC is one of the best equipped educational science facilities in Western Australia, aiming to encourage students to continue their science studies and eventually follow a career in science.

However, we have not lost sight of the FUN side of science. We have many hands-on exhibits for all ages and our guides are trained to cater for all school grades. The most exciting experiment we have to offer is of course the Leaning Tower of Gingin, which allows students to drop water balloons from a height of 45 metres and watch them fall and land, showing Galileo’s experiments on gravity in action.
