The Centre will combine State government and university resources in order to build a critical mass of radio astronomy expertise in WA. The Centre will capitalise on opportunities presented by new WA-based radio astronomy pathfinder instruments and will help attract the $US2 billion Square Kilometre Array observatory to WA.
I am writing this from a conference in Chicago in the United States, but I can participate easily in Western Australian science today through ScienceNetwork WA.
