  • WA researchers and science teachers make outstanding contributions to science and science education.
  • Careers in science, mathematics and engineering are interesting and worthwhile.
  • Science is enjoyable and valuable, and should be celebrated.

 

 

Seed GrantNational Science Week Seed Grants

Apply for a $1,000 seed grant to run a National Science Week event, program or activity for the general public.

The WA National Science Week Coordinating Committee has announced 10 seed grants of $1,000 for National Science Week 2010.

If you wish to engage the general public (not schools) in a NEW innovative event, program or activity during National Science Week, you will be eligible to apply for a grant.

Inspiring Australia Seed Grants

Apply for a seed grant to run a science event, program or activity as part of the Inspiring Australia WA Calendar.

As a result Inspiring Australia: a national strategy for engagement with the sciences, the 2010 WA National Science Week Coordinating Committee also is pleased to announce that a pool of $12,000 (including GST) is available in the form of seed grants for WA organisations wishing to organise a science related event, activity or program during the period of May – December 2010.

WA Male Scientists from the state’s universities, CSIRO, Department of Environment and Conservation, Engineers Australia, Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, Perth Zoo and WA Museum will host a morning tea providing you and your students with a unique opportunity to speak one-on-one with them and receive practical knowledge about science career pathways.

The Dino-Lite AM211 is easy to operate with a simple installation on PC or MAC, has a built-in white LED illumination and is ideal for a wide variety of practical applications in the classroom. It includes a mini-stand to hold the microscope steady over your work providing "hands free" operation as well as a copy of the "DinoCapture" software, enabling you to "capture" either a photograph, video or time-lapsed video with a simple click.
