The issue for successful regeneration of destroyed seagrass beds requires more than demonstrating success in planting. The real questions are logistic - can the whole damaged area be planted? (it is too large to be replanted in Cockburn Sound) and is the damaged area still suitable for seagrass? (the dredged areas in Owen Anchorage are now too deep for seagrass). - Norman Halse
