WA FARMERS are getting a boost with a plan to turn mallees into sustainable aviation fuel.

IN a two-pronged approach, a Curtin-based energy and fuel science expert has shown plantation mallee trees are an economically competitive feedstock for electricity generation.
MORE than 50 per cent of the Wheatbelt could be used to generate concentrated solar power (CSP), which can be stored to provide electricity after dark, a new UWA report reveals.
